La historia de la pareja que escaló durante tres semanas el Everest para casarse

Muy pocas parejas subirían la montaña más alta del mundo para decirle “sí, acepto” a la persona con la que han decidido compartir el resto de sus vidas. De acuerdo con El Espectador, Ashley Schmeider y James Sisson tuvieron un matrimonio diferente y vivieron la aventura de escalar el Everest durante tres semanas para poder tener como altar la increíble vista que se puede apreciar desde allí.

Sin embargo, no todo fue color rosa, según contó El Espectador, la noche antes de la boda, el novio tuvo problemas para respirar y le tuvieron que poner oxígeno. James logró recuperarse y la ceremonia se pudo hacer sin ningún contratiempo.

La idea no fue precisamente de la pareja, Charleton Churchill, el fotógrafo de la boda fue quien los motivó a lanzarse a esta aventura. Churchill publicó en su Instagram las imágenes de todo el viaje de Ashley y James.

Made it to Dingboche at 14,500 feet, and we can feel the altitude here. Both James and Ashley are well, a little headache and loss of appetite which is natural at this altitude, but they are both tearing up the trail. I'm glad to have them on this adventure of a lifetime. We are here for another day, three more camps and we are at Everest Base camp. El medio narró que Churchill desde el 2011 venía con la idea de retratar con su cámara un matrimonio en la cima del Everest y en 2015 había convencido a otra pareja, pero debido a la tragedia en Nepal se cancelaron los planes.
